Our Culture

As a member of the North Shore Healthcare family, our center’s dedicated healthcare professionals strive to deliver quality care to those who have chosen us. Tomahawk Health Services’ goal is to create an environment that affords our residents the opportunity to be a partner in the care they receive, to develop trusting relationships with our caregivers, and to reach their highest level of independence. We are passionate about making our center The Right Choice for you or your loved one.

We have been serving the Tomahawk and surrounding communities since 1968. Our center has beautiful views and is conveniently located near freeways and public transportation. We are proud to be members of the Tomahawk Chamber of Commerce and the Tomahawk Lion’s Club.

In a recent customer satisfaction survey, we are proud to share that 100% of our residents indicated their overall experience as good to excellent.

We recently were awarded a 2019 Bronze – Commitment to Quality Award by the American Health Care Association and National Center for Assisted Living (AHCA/NCAL). The Award Program has three levels: Bronze, Silver, and Gold. As a recipient of the Bronze – Commitment to Quality Award, we may now move forward in developing approaches and achieving performance levels that meet the Silver – Achievement in Quality Award criteria.

Leadership Team

Social Services Coordinator–Patti Panfil

“For more than 20 years, I have been given the opportunity to make a positive difference in the lives of those entrusted to my care. I enjoy hearing the residents’ stories. I always can learn something from their unique experiences.”

Director of Therapy–Kelly Sondelski

“I have worked in geriatric rehabilitation for more than 20 years. I love this field because of the relationships with the patients, their families, and the community. Being able to provide quality services and seeing the patients succeed is what continues to drive me.”

Business Office Manager–Lori Thiemer

“I enjoy working with the families, residents and with the rest of the team to provide the best care available.”

Director of Nursing–Alicia Pierce

“The thing that I enjoy most about the long term care industry is knowing that our residents are taken care of and that they can count on our staff to be there every day for them. The staff and residents of long term care are part of my family.”

“I have lived in Tomahawk Health Services for 10 years now. I have a Masters Degree in Personnel Management and served as an officer in Tactical Air Command Headquarters, USAF, as a personnelist reporting to the post master general. I have seen the unusually high levels of competence and care by the Doctors, Nurses, and CNA’s in the care and attention paid to the residents of this center. Being here is the best conclusion imaginable in a blessed life.”
